Terms of Service

Mochi (MochiBuddy) · Last updated August 14, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and A-Squared Dev, the maker of Mochi. By using Mochi you agree to them. The short version: pay for what you use, be kind to the service, your content is yours, and you can leave whenever you like.

The app and your license

Mochi is licensed to you, not sold. Your license to use the app is Apple's standard End User License Agreement, which these terms supplement. Where the two differ on subscriptions or your content, these terms apply.

Membership and billing

Refunds

All billing is handled by Apple, so refunds are too. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com; Apple decides refund requests under its own policies, and we cannot issue App Store refunds directly. If something went wrong on our end, email us anyway and we will do what we can to make it right.

Your content

The tasks, lists, names, and everything else you create in Mochi belong to you. You give us permission to store and process that content solely to run the app for you: syncing it, backing it up, and powering features like letters and the journal. We claim no other rights to it, and it is deleted when you delete your account, as described in the privacy policy.

Acceptable use

Please don't abuse the service: no attempting to access other people's data, probing or overloading our infrastructure, reverse engineering the app beyond what the law permits, or using Mochi for anything unlawful. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.

Age

You must be at least 13 years old to use Mochi. Mochi is not directed at children under 13.

Ending things

You can stop using Mochi and delete your account at any time in the app (You tab, Delete account). We may suspend or terminate access for abuse of these terms. If we ever discontinue the service, we will give reasonable notice so you can export what matters to you.

Disclaimers and liability

Mochi is provided as is, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. Mochi is a companion for your to-dos, not professional advice of any sort. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that your local law does not allow to be limited.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page. Meaningful changes will be called out in the app before they take effect.
