      Tap Putt does not require an account, does not collect your name or email,
      and never collects data that is linked to your identity.
    

1. Information We Collect

Tap Putt stores the following data locally on your device only using iOS system storage (UserDefaults). This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us:

Your best scores and handicap index
Your Daily Putt streak and earned badges
Sound and haptics preferences

We do not collect your name, email address, precise location, contacts, or any other personal information.

2. Analytics

Tap Putt uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-first analytics service, to understand how the game is played in aggregate (for example, how often runs are started or which modes are used). TelemetryDeck receives anonymized usage signals along with a device identifier that is irreversibly hashed before it is stored, so it cannot be tied back to you or your device. This data is not linked to your identity and is never used for tracking or advertising.

3. Advertising

Tap Putt displays ads provided by Google AdMob. To serve ads and measure their performance, Google may collect and use certain information from your device, which may include:

Device identifiers
IP address and the general location it implies (country / region)
Device type, operating system version, and language
Ad interaction data (views, clicks)
Crash logs and performance diagnostics

Tap Putt does not request App Tracking Transparency permission and does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), so ads are served without cross-app tracking. None of this data is linked to your identity.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time through Google's Ad Settings.

4. Third-Party Services

Tap Putt uses two third-party services: Google AdMob (advertising) and TelemetryDeck (anonymized analytics). No social SDKs or cross-app tracking SDKs are included.

5. Children's Privacy

Tap Putt is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not collect any personal information from any users, including children.

For advertising, we use Google AdMob configured with child-directed treatment enabled, which limits ad personalization and disables interest-based advertising in compliance with COPPA and Apple's guidelines for apps available to children.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

All game progress stored by Tap Putt lives on your device. You can delete it at any time by:

Using the Reset Progress option inside the app's Settings screen, or
Deleting the app from your device entirely.

Analytics signals are anonymized before they reach TelemetryDeck and cannot be tied back to you, so there is nothing to delete on request. Deleting the app stops all data collection.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
